Bailout do-over passes Senate
The Senate has passed a financial bailout package similar to one rejected by the House. The bill passed by a vote of 74 to 25. Presidential candidates Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain voted in favor. Like the bill rejected by the House, the Senate bill would spend $700 billion to buy troubled assets from financial institutions.
