Israel halts military offensive to allow aid into Gaza

Israel ceased military operations in parts of the Gaza Strip Wednesday as part of a plan to halt attacks for three hours each day to allow humanitarian aid to enter the Palestinian territory through an Israeli-controlled corridor.
