Consumer Electronics Show kicks off with Windows 7 beta

Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Ballmer officially kicked off the annual Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday night with an announcement that the replacement for Windows Vista will be released to beta testers on Friday.
