Fed to buy ton of short-term debt
wtorek, październik 7th, 2008The Federal Reserve today announced a new program to help the battered market for short-term business loans. The program addresses commercial paper, a form of short-term funding that many businesses use for day-to-day expenses including supplies and payroll. The Fed program follows the approval by Congress last week of the Treasury Department’s $700 billion bailout of the financial system.
