Writing in today’s Hoy, journalist Emely Tueni comments on the criticism that the apparent waves of sympathy Dominicans have expressed for Sobeida Felix, a woman who appears to be some sort of snake charmer.
“Particularly, I do not believe, that the apparent complacency that groups of people have shown towards this alleged narco money launderer is because of lack of morals, or an inversion of values, ignorance, etc. Rather it is the people making fun of the confused actions by the authorities in charge of the Figueroa Agosto (or Junior Capsula) case.
