Details of 1st U.S. face transplant revealed
Surgeons have successfully performed the first near-total face transplant in the United States, officials and doctors at the Cleveland Clinic announced today. The procedure, performed two weeks ago, replaced 80 percent of the face of a woman who had been disfigured by a severe trauma, the doctors announced at a news conference.
