GM Canada suggests trimmer workforce, bigger bailout
General Motors has outlined a restructuring plan that will cut its Canadian workforce to 7,000, and will seek financial aid from the federal and Ontario governments proportionate to the $30 billion GM wants from Washington. That would be about $6 billion.
