How Ramirez Rendon got out
Despite having been sentenced to 20 years by the Second Collegiate Court of the Penal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District dated 15 December 2008, Juan Reynaldo Ramirez Rendon was freed and it is now known that he returned to working in drug trafficking.
He made headlines again last week when he was arrested in possession of 97.7 kilos of cocaine confiscated in Los Frailes, Santo Domingo East, inside a Mitsubishi Montero parked at Calle 3 No. 5.
The sentence against him had been annulled by the National District Court of Appeals, which ordered his release on RD$10 million bail and a new case against Ramirez and other individuals claiming that his constitutional rights had been violated by the first instance court that first heard the case.
