Israeli airstrikes leaves hundreds dead
Palestinian envoy Riyad Mansour called on the United Nations to condemn Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, as they entered a second day. At least 225 people were killed and 400 others wounded in what Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak called a response to escalating rocket attacks against Israel.
