CHICAGO, Ill., Aug. 17 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Fines and penalties are on the rise for facilities that fail to comply with Federal and State hazardous waste rules. Recently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 cited an Illinois recycling facility for the improper management of hazardous waste and proposed a penalty for non-compliance with the EPA Hazardous Waste Regulations in excess of $700,000.
