Tipp City Schools Save Money and the Environment
TIPP CITY, Ohio, Aug. 19 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Tipp City Exempted Village School district wanted to reduce its energy expenses and engaged Greg Smith, President of Energy Optimizers, USA to do just that. According to a report released this week, the public/private partnership has provided the district with $11,483.53 in energy savings during the first 5 months of this year on electric and gas utilization.
The report also calculated the energy efficiency changes which reduced the school district’s carbon footprint by 145,016 lbs. the equivalent of taking nineteen cars off the road and also saved 248,225,035 BTU’s of energy, equivalent to the annual demand of twelve (2 story, 3 bedroom) homes.
